Dialysis is a treatment that is given to patients when the kidneys are no longer functioning.
There are 2 types of dialysis treatments.

Hemodialysis is a type of dialysis treatment which makes patient’s blood travel through a tube in a dialysis machine. Most patients need to have hemodialysis 3 times/week at a dialysis center. Each session may last up to three to four hours.

Peritoneal dialysis is type of dialysis that uses the inside lining of the abdomen (peritoneum) to filter the blood. This type of dialysis is done at home on a daily basis.

HOME DIALYSIS is the Option of 1st Choice whenever Possible.

This can be done by hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis.
